Why does racism persist today? Do choices trap people in poverty? What is Privilege really?
We all have biases, assumptions and misperceptions about the world and the people in it. Some of them damage authentic relationship between people of different races, ethnic groups, cultures, and economic backgrounds in America. This workshop helps us to identify and address some of those problem biases, assumption and misperceptions so that as practitioners we can work more effectively to alleviate poverty & racism. This workshop will help both professionals and volunteer practitioners to be better at engaging families and helping them work to break free from poverty and its impact on their lives.
